Saving lives is a community affair. Love & Fashion Entertainment Attends New York Blood Center’s Chairpersons’ and Volunteers’ Recognition Breakfast.
On October 16, 2024, Love & Fashion Entertainment had the honor of attending the New York Blood Center’s Chairpersons’ and Volunteers’ Recognition Breakfast, held at The View at The Battery in New York City. The event, which ran from 8:45 to 10:45 AM, was a powerful tribute to the importance of blood donations and the individuals and organizations who go above and beyond to organize drives that save lives.
Several honorees received the You Mean the World to Me – Award for their tireless efforts:
Staten Island Ferry
NYC Health & Mental Hygiene
Peter Cooper Village
Battery Park City
NYP Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist
These organizations have played crucial roles in ensuring that hospitals maintain a steady supply of blood, a necessity for saving lives every day.
One of the most moving moments of the event was the speech given by Julia Tang, a young woman whose life was saved thanks to a blood transfusion. Julia shared her incredible journey—diagnosed at just nine months old with thalassemia, she spent her early years receiving regular blood transfusions to keep her alive. Her story of resilience and survival touched everyone in attendance. Julia’s life changed when, in 2010, she underwent a bone marrow transplant, and now, she no longer needs transfusions. Today, she is thriving, filled with energy, and even gives back by donating blood herself. Her story is a reminder of the direct impact that blood donations can have—turning life-threatening moments into new opportunities for life.
Julia’s story is one of hope and gratitude, and it’s a powerful testament to the life-saving power of blood donations. It’s not just about prolonging life—it’s about giving people like Julia the energy and opportunity to pursue their dreams. Julia, a lover of science, music, and art, now dreams of becoming a doctor to help others, inspired by her own medical journey.
At Love & Fashion Entertainment, we share in this mission of giving back. Through our event services, merchandise sales, and community initiatives, we are committed to making a difference. 5% of all our profits go directly to causes that promote life-saving initiatives like blood donation awareness.
You too can make a difference—we’ve partnered with the New York Blood Center to make donating blood as easy as possible. Simply visit our exclusive page at www.nybc.org/LF to schedule an appointment at a time and location that works for you. Your donation can help save lives, just like Julia’s.

2024 Youth Humanitarian Awards was a success
Celebrating Excellence and Youth Empowerment at the 4th Youth Humanitarian Awards
The 4th Youth Humanitarian Awards, organized by actor and philanthropist Chase W. Dillon, took place at Yale University from October 11-13, 2024. Known for his roles in The Book of Clarence, Haunted Mansion, and The Underground Railroad, Dillon, now 14, has not only built a successful career in entertainment but also made it his mission to support the dreams of young talent through initiatives like the Chase W. Dillon Scholarship.
The event featured a variety of activities that combined celebration with education. Love & Fashion Entertainment had the privilege of contributing to a session held at Woolsey Hall, located at 500 College St, New Haven, CT 06511, where young attendees were educated on essential industry topics like auditioning, acting, and networking.
One highlight was the presence of artist and designer Chiden Fields, joining to show support for both the arts and youth humanitarian initiatives. Dillon, who balances his studies between Stanford and Yale, uses events like this to raise awareness and funding for causes close to his heart, including free college scholarships through his scholarship fund.
This year’s awards recognized sponsors and honorees committed to paving a brighter future for youth worldwide. The gathering not only honored individuals but also aimed to empower young creatives by providing them with tools to succeed.

Be a hero, save a life. The message at These Cells Aint Loyal Sickle cell awareness fundraiser pt 4
THANK YOU
This event was made possible by each of you. A huge thank you to all the staff who worked tirelessly to assist in making the event a success, and to all the guests who showed up in support. Your presence meant everything.
These Cels Ain't Loyal Pt 4, organized by Tray Lover, owner of Love & Fashion Entertainment, took place on September 28th, 2024, in Brooklyn, New York, and the event was nothing short of spectacular. The atmosphere was electric, and the message of the night echoed loud and clear: Sickle Cell Awareness.
The event brought together a diverse crowd—some already knowledgeable about sickle cell disease, and others eager to learn. Guests mingled, danced, and exchanged information, educating each other about the realities of living with sickle cell. The highlight of the night was hearing from the organizer himself, Tray Lover, who shared his personal story of why he continues to fight for sickle cell awareness, even while enduring his own physical pain. Tray's message was clear: "Sickle cell can’t stop me because this fight doesn’t stop." His resilience and determination to bring awareness to this disease were felt by everyone in the room.
Tray’s commitment to this cause is more than just words. His actions are making a direct impact on those living with sickle cell disease. One of the most touching moments of the night came when Breanna Omosebi, the recipient of the 2024 Love & Fashion Scholarship, spoke. Breanna, who lives with sickle cell herself, is a freshman who wants to pursue nursing and our third scholarship recipient. She shared how the scholarship is helping her through her studies, and how she plans to give back to the community as a pediatrician. She emphasized the ripple effect of Tray’s donations, showing how they empower others to continue the fight in their own ways. Each year, Love & Fashion aims to select three individuals living with sickle cell disease to support their academic journey, furthering their opportunities and futures.
But the night wasn’t just about education and awareness. It was also about action. We called on everyone to donate blood. Stephanie Dormsey, Senior Director at the New York Blood Center, delivered a powerful speech underscoring the direct need for blood donations, especially in swarthy communities, where shortages are most severe. Blood donations are critical—not just for those with sickle cell disease, but for anyone who may find themselves in need of a life-saving transfusion. One person’s donation can save up to three lives with just a single pint of blood. It’s an easy way to make a significant impact.
Capri from Pfizer also took the stage to highlight Pfizer’s partnership with companies like Love & Fashion Entertainment, working together to pave a better future for people living with sickle cell disease. Capri shared Pfizer’s commitment to advancing treatment options, raising awareness, and supporting community-based initiatives. Companies like Pfizer play an essential role in helping organizations like Love & Fashion thrive, as they work in tandem to foster positive change and improve the quality of life for those affected by this debilitating condition. The collaboration between large organizations and grassroots movements is crucial for creating sustainable impact.
So, I ask you: Are you ready to make a difference? Let’s step up, visit our local blood donation centers, and give the gift of life. Together, we can change lives—starting with one pint at a time.
Special thanks to our incredible sponsors who made this event possible: Pfizer, the New York Blood Center, and The Ryan Show.
And shout out to our collaborators, especially Candice’s Sickle Cell Fund, for their continued support and dedication to the cause.

Celebrating the 2nd Annual Sickle Cell Awareness Family Paint Party
We at LOVE & FASHION and the SICKLE CELL THALASSEMIA PATIENTS NETWORK (SCTPN) are thrilled to celebrate the incredible work of Sharine Holness and the HOLNESS FOUNDATION for organizing their 2nd annual Sickle Cell Awareness Family Paint Party. This event brought together families and children within the sickle cell community, offering a day filled with joy, creativity, and connection.
The Paint Party was not just about creating beautiful canvases but also about bringing smiles to the faces of our young warriors. The children enjoyed painting, received free giveaways, and shared delicious food. The event was hosted by Ceddy, the devoted husband of Sharine, both of whom are parents of sickle cell warriors. Their dedication to raising awareness about sickle cell disease and fostering a supportive community is truly inspiring.
A special highlight of the event was the presence of a young warrior, Parker Todd, who is also the talented author of the comic book series "The Adventures of The Sickler." Parker's work shines a light on sickle cell disease through his engaging and informative stories, making a significant impact on awareness and understanding.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the HOLNESS FOUNDATION for allowing LOVE & FASHION and SCTPN to be a part of this meaningful event. It was an honor to connect with other sickle cell warriors and organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for those affected by this disease.

"Donate", Words echoed through the night at the Sept 30 These Cells Aint Loyal sickle cell fundraiser
The Sept 2023 These Cells Aint Loyal sickle cell fundraiser went off beautifully.
It was a night of entertainment and education organized by Love & Fashion. Various community board organizations came together to bring awareness to this debilitating disease that affects and takes thousands of lives. The message of the night was to donate. Because of the many afflictions that are caused by this disease many individuals who suffer from sickle cell disease have to go through rounds of blood transfusions, which can alter a person's blood type over time and can also cause iron build up in the body. Some patients are getting blood transfusions weekly and at this rate the blood banks are in very low supply of blood. Yadira Navaro, director at the NY blood center, Ginger Davis the President of Sickle Cell Thalassemia Patients Network and Tray Lover owner of Lover & Fashion Entertainment as well as the New York State Community Health Worker Coordinator for Sickle Cell Thalassemia Patients Network were able to spread some light on the importance of blood donations in the black community. 1 person can save 3 lives by donating 1 pint of blood and you can make a difference. The knowledge shared by this event was definitely impactful, but the night didn't stop there. In between teaching the crowd about the severity of sickle cell disease the audience had the pleasure of being entertained by some very talented music artists, designers and models who all got on stage as a community to bring awareness. This is a night that definitely changed many lives and hopefully helps to save thousands.
